Public data API for developers

Calls return JSON with sources, fetched_at, as_of, licence, and attribution. That is the machine-readable contract. The API docs list authentication, quotas, and errors. OpenAPI describes /v1 without a key.

A free key allows 10 requests a minute and 100 a day. Paid plans are priced and checkout is not open. The hurricane and storm feed has a public sample that does not need a key.

Data feeds for AI agents

Agents should start at llms.txt, then the OpenAPI document, then one feed. The envelope is the same shape a person sees on the feed page. Cite the licence field. Repeat reads should send If-None-Match. History accepts limit and cursor, and omit=data skips payloads. A seeded slug is catalogued only.

MCP is not available. /mcp returns 501. There is no hidden endpoint and no separate corpus for agents.

FX, statistics, and reference data

  • ECCB exchange rates for the Eastern Caribbean dollar. A refused fetch does not invent a rate. The USD peg is a cited 2.70 record, not a scrape.
  • World Bank WDI, GDP in current US dollars, for six OECS members. Attribute the World Bank.
  • OpenStreetMap places for town halls, airports, and ports in those six members. Attribute OpenStreetMap contributors.
  • GDELT Caribbean news is polled at most every six hours. A throttle message is not stored as articles.
  • Holiday, gazette, tax, and customs slugs for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the ECCU are seeded. They are listed in the catalog and are not live documents.

Machine-readable government data

Some enabled feeds republish United States government work that is public domain in the United States: NHC storms, USGS earthquakes, NOAA tides, and the NWS forecast for one USVI station. ECCB and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines material is cited, not relicensed. World Bank series are CC BY 4.0. Read the attribution page before you cache a response.

Nothing here is financial, legal, or safety advice. Verify the cited source before you act.
